Horrible experience. Frozen veggies reheated. No salsa at first. Was told it would take ten minutes, when it arrived it was from a jar.

Best Mexican food in Lake City! Service is great, atmosphere is great, and food is delicious! Me, my parents and sister are practically regulars there! We love it!

I had tacos, which were ok but nothing spectacular. My girlfriend had a veggie burrito, which had broccoli, cauliflower, and carrots in it. The idea might have been good but they tasted awful. I tasted the broccoli just to confirm, and she was right. The sauce was good, they just needed better quality vegetables. She ate the rice and beans, which were good. The fried cheesecake for dessert was ok, but again, nothing spectacular. Service was sub par for how slow they were the day we were in.

I'm in town for work with my sweetie pie. We found this place on chowhound. I have to say that all of these poor yelp reviewers must not have been given the gift of good taste buds. Considering that I am in a town I wouldn't assume would have good food this place deserves even more stars than I can possibly give it. Everything looks pretty generic but what do you expect from lake city Florida?! It tastes amazing. I had the California chicken burrito. I question their decision to serve it with French fries. Fries meh. Burrito oh yea. My sweetness had the fajita and said she gave it an 8 out of 10. More food than she could fit in her petite mouth. But good none the less. Me gusto Mexico!

I had the pleasure of eating here about 2 weeks ago for the 1st time, while visiting family in Lake City. We were seated immediately by a friendly server, who gave us our menus. She took our drinks orders and brought them out quickly, along with fresh salsa and chips. Their chips were fresh and delicious. We ordered a variety of dishes, from queso fundido to the pork burrito platter, chicken chimichanga, and steak fajitas. Everyone in our party loved their food and commented on how tasty and fresh everything tasted. Our meals were accompanied with rice, beans, and fresh pico de gallo. With the lack of restaurants in Lake City, I was getting sick of going to a chain restaurant each visit and eating the same bland food. I will definitely plan to eat here again on a future visit to town and I highly recommend this place to Yelpers!

Got to go here once and loved it. Better than any Mexican food I have had in Tampa or Gainesville. Every part of my meal tasted good. Hope I get to go back (or they open a restaurant in G-ville). If you are passing by stop in. I sure will if I am.

Based on Dee B.'s review we decided to check out this place one Saturday night. The place was busy but not excessively so. We were seated and given menus. Soon someone took our drink orders-- a beer, a glass of wine and 2 waters. Chips and pico de gallo arrived. Later 2 glasses of water were delivered. I asked for fresh napkins since the one wrapping the silver was soaked with dripping salsa. After quite a while the wine and beer appeared. I repeated my request for napkins. Eventually someone took our food order. I asked again for napkins. Since by now it had gotten a little late for me to eat a full dinner, I ordered an appetizer; hongas al ajo(mushrooms in garlic sauce). Marty had camarones con arroz(shrimp and rice). Both dishes were pleasantly seasoned although we suspect his vegetable component was frozen and my sauce was a bit heavy on the oil. Yet again I asked for a new napkin . Finally I had enough and called the host/manager to see if going right to the top would work. Yes. Finally paper napkins were placed on the table. To his credit I was comped a glass of wine. Won me right over. Customer service at last.

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
